Three sold out screenings and a wonderful response from the audience made the world premiere of The Day Carl Sandburg Died at the
RiverRun International Film Festival a fantastic experience. The festival was extremely well organized by the festival staff and volunteers. The venues at A/perture and the N.C. School of the Arts were excellent.
It was especially rewarding to have Penelope Niven, Sandburg's biographer and vital contributor to our film, attend the festival and participate in the Q&A after the screenings. Most exciting was the numerous comments about how relevant the film was in today's social and political environment.
